October Books.

I guess that should read October BOOK...since I only finished one. Whew! October was BUSY. The one that I finished was entirely worth it, though, so if you haven't read this one...it's time! This was actually a re-read for me. I read it years ago and then it was our Book Club pick this month. It's really, really wonderful. In Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, Sarah is the only child of a prostitute. Her mother dies when Sarah is very young and she is taken to work for a man named Duke. She enters into prostitution as a child and knows really nothing about real love. Michael Hosea is a man who relies on God for everything. Every decision he makes he has prayed about. He hears God whisper to him when he sees Sarah (who now goes by Angel) for the first time. The story is a love story between Angel and Michael, but it's also a love story about the way God loves us and the way we really treat Him. It's definitely a beautiful story of mercy and grace.

Our Book Club pick for November is Sue Monk Kidd's The Invention of Wings, which I need to get started on ASAP! It will be here before we know it! What are you reading?
