Trick or Treat!

Last Sunday we had our church's annual Fall Festival. I wasn't quite as crazy about it this year, but only because it was CROWDED. With boys who just dart off {and really shouldn't be left unattended}, it made me panicky. Thankfully, when we made our way outside it was MUCH better. Will got a ride on the train with his "guhfwiend" and both boys attempted the rock climbing wall.

{Will is in LOVE with AC. She is his best buddy. He told me after the train ride that he let her honk the horn the whole time! She gave him a smooch on the mouth last night while we were trick-or-treating and I think it made his night!

On Thursday night we took the boys to trick-or-treat at the grandparents' houses because on Friday one set was going to the football game and Cacky doesn't do trick-or-treating. {Well, her dog doesn't and therefore she doesn't. It's too much stress for the dog she's had since I was in eleventh grade. (That was an awfully long time ago. She's old.)} The boys decided they did NOT want to wear their "real" costumes so they pulled out of the dress up clothes and put together their own. Whatever!

We came home and watched It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!

On Friday at school the boys were allowed to wear their costumes and once again they chose to wear NOT their real costumes. They went as Robertsons instead. I got tickled because Will's teachers were dressed as a deer and a bunny. Hunter + woodland creatures? Lol!

Last night, our Dinner Club friends came over for chili, chicken tortilla soup, and hot dogs before we trick-or-treated through our new neighborhood. We had a great time!

Sweet friends!

Today, it is COLD. The boys {all of them + Granddaddy} have been pulling up trees in the backyard this morning. I put hot chocolate in the crockpot and they have enjoyed that! Today is the FIRST weekend since we've moved in that we're not having to rush off to this place or that. James has a birthday party and that is our only commitment this weekend! Wooohooooo! It is so nice to be HOME!
