Dear Headaches...

I have written before about how I've been suffering with headaches. I can't figure out any particular rhyme or reason to them. They don't hit at a certain time of the day (or the month). They don't hit only during certain seasons. It seems like I will suffer through a few days of them and then I'm fine for a few days. Sometimes it's pain behind my eyes, sometimes it's pain on one side of my head, most of the time they leave me nauseated and worthless. I'm only bringing it to ask "What next?" I obviously have had them long enough to need to see a doctor, but I only visit my obgyn. Should I start there? Has anyone else had this?

An ex-co-worker used to suffer from severe migraines through out the year. She eventually traced it to a wheat/bread/gluten allergy, or something of that nature. Apparently cutting that allergen out of her diet has made her migraine free. It wasnt a bad enough allergy to make her have your typical allergic reactions (rash/breathing issues). I dont know all of the details, but it might help to think about what you eat when these hit???? good luck!

Dr. Lance says he'll need more info, but he thinks it could be slight migraines or a severe sinus infection. A bill will be sent to your residence.

Sounds like migraines. They can often be confused with sinus headaches, but are usually predominately on one side of the head and have nausea associated with them. Try taking a headache medicine with caffiene in it at the onset of the headache and that usually makes them stop for most people. Also, look up food triggers for migraines because it might help you find out your trigger for them if that's what is making you have them. Gary has them when he eats certain foods.
