Sweet Baby James.

I've been trying my darnedest to write down all of the funny things James says these days. He is a laugh a minute. It's hard to discipline sometimes!

Eddie: James, take your stool back in your bathroom.
James: It's too heavy.
Eddie: It wasn't too heavy to bring it in here, was it?

James: I pwedge awedgience to da fwag of da United States of Amewica. And to da Publix for which it stands...

Grandmama thinks it's funny to ask James if he has his pie finger ready (he puts his pointer finger up) when she makes him a pie. It was cute to me, too...at first. And then it started to make a mess every time we ate pie. So I established the rule that he could eat with his "pie finger" at Grandmama's, but at our house we eat with a fork or spoon. When we were at the lake recently, Grandmama made a pie. He started digging in with his fingers and I reminded him to use his spoon. "If you can't use your spoon to eat like a big boy, I'm going to take the pie away." He looked at me and in all seriousness said, "Mama, you SAID I could do it at Grandmama's house." Sassy pants.

James is very into listening to New Kids on the Block on my iPad. I love it. :) The other day he told me he was going to get his boots. When he came back he said, "Now I weady to dance!"

He walks around our house all the time on the phone. A phone. ANY phone. He's pretty funny talking. Sometimes it's to Daddy, a grandparent, Memo, Mickey Mouse. I really enjoy hearing what he's picked up from me when I didn't know he was listening! Little ears, they are a-listenin'!

James fell out of the tub not too long ago and said, "Whew! That was close!"

*****

Going under bridges - "We're going under another tunnel!"

*****

He wants to, "fish for gooey fish!" all the time. If you've seen Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, you might know that for whatever reason, gooey fish are what they fish for. ??? Strange.

The other night he asked me what my dad's name is. I said, "Philip, but we call him Tony." Poor Dad and all of his random nicknames. James, in all seriousness said, "Well I call him Tony Pony!"

*****

In true Middle Georgia fashion, he counts, "One, two, three, fo-wah."

At the lake not too long ago, YaYa told him that they were "Bold and Spicy" like the BBQ sauce we were eating. He thought it was hysterical but it was a little bit lost in translation. Later, he told me they were "Old and Spicy." Ha! Little different meaning.

*****

He gets spicy and spike-y mixed up. Will had a mohawk after his bath the other day and James told me that he had "spicy" hair. :)

Last night James was throwing a ball "with" Will and kept saying, "Go get it, boy!" We had a little chat about how his brother is not his dog.

This week I was singing "How Great Thou Art" to Will because he was VERY upset. James was in the other room but heard me and started singing along and then ran in the room to finish.

Last night I was laying on the sofa while Eddie gave the boys their baths. James walked in and said, "Mama, watchoo doin'?" "I'm having a quiet moment," I replied. He looked at me curiously and said, "Are you poopin'?" Omg.

He's a funny little thing!
