We're Still Here...

After a crazy, long week and another round of back-and-forth to Tifton, we're enjoying a slow(er) Sunday afternoon. It's quiet, it's nice out, and it feels good not to be terribly busy. There isn't much to report on - we've been so busy this week that we haven't done much in the way of "fun." We did go back to Tifton yesterday to clean the rent house and rake the yard. It is now rental-ready. If you know of anyone looking to rent a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house with a fenced in backyard in a really quiet neighborhood, let us know!

Super Bowl is tonight and I couldn't care less. I normally love getting together with friends to hang out and watch. That isn't happening this year. I'll probably spend it working on lesson plans, reading, and eating supper. Eddie plans to watch so it will be on for background noise.

We tried another church today - Perry FUMC. Verdict: I really liked it, Eddie thought it was "okay." It's a lot like Tifton FUMC only a little smaller. The people seemed to be pretty friendly. As we were leaving, a man introduced himself to us and Eddie realized the man's dad is on the Board at Eddie's work. It's a small world! I think we'll probably try Harvest Church next week. We watched last weeks' sermon this afternoon and it seems pretty great. I commented that it almost had the feel of a church retreat or conference, not your everyday Sunday lesson! We're hoping and praying to find a church that just fits!

Is it like the World Harvest Church down the street from Daddy's house? That place scares me!!!
