Move.

I'm working on "A Day in the Life" post today that is sure to make you all jealous when I post it tomorrow. So far it consists of a few pictures of my boys and an almost-stopped train that I had to sit and wait on for 20 minutes earlier. My life is so exciting, huh? I'm not sure I've ever done an "A Day in the Life" post but I thought it would be fun for ME to look back several years from now and see what our day-to-day life consisted of. Hopefully it will include good naps from both boys today.

One of the things on my list earlier was to run/walk 2 miles. I told you a few weeks ago that I have big running goals this year and I am NOT a runner. At all. However, in the past year I have packed on the pounds (about 15 of them if you must know). I'm definitely trying not to be too hard on myself about them because big move + house that won't sell + death = stress and stress = eating. But I turned 30 in October and I'll be the first to tell you that I am 30 and NOT looking and feeling the way that I want. My goal is that by 31 I am healthier than I was at 30.I also have a few secret running goals with a friend. We've just talked about some things as sort of "I'd love to..." but it would be fun, is top on my list, and we have a year to make it happen.

Anyway, as I was creeping along on the treadmill this morning {it was a bad, bad, bad, slow, slow, slow run} it occurred to me that my One Little Word this year can be "Move." Have you seen posts for the One Little Word? You pick a word that you'd like to use as your "theme" for the year, I guess. I hadn't been interested in it, to be honest. I've made some goals for myself and our family and that was going to be it. But "Move" stuck out to me today so I think I'm going to go with it. Move because my body needs to move in order to change and move because we'd like to complete the task of moving from one house to another this year.

So there you go. Did you pick a One Little Word?

Any workout is better than no workout! You got up and you did something! Don't ever get down on yourself for attempting something challenging! One thing that inspires me are the workout quotes on Pinterest (it sounds cheesy, but they make your mind go to a good place and that's half the battle).

Can't wait to read you Day In The Life post. My word would be change. I am not happy with how my life is going or how I look right now and I need change!

My word this year is "do"--I want to be better about following through with things. Instead of saying I want to do something, I just need to do it. But I think "move" is an excellent word to focus on this year, too. Sounds like we're in the same boat...I turned 30 last July, and I'm desperate to start taking better care of myself, my health, my body, my skin, my attitude, etc. Taking baby steps towards changing my eating and exercise habits; it might not be much, but I hope it's at least a step in the right direction.
