10 Years.

This weekend marks ten years since I graduated from high school. Ten years.

In some ways, it seems like such a LONG time ago. In other ways, I can't believe ten years have passed. Incredible.

I haven't been the best at keeping up with my best friends from high school. I've completely lost touch with a few people that I spent all of my time with, but I've kept up with a few and those girls are SO important to me. I think the hardest thing about going our separate ways has been that we are all in really different stages of life. It's so funny how you can grow up with people and you're doing exactly the same things at nearly the same time and then after college, who knows?! Of my little group of friends, I'm one of just a few who is married and has children. While they (tell me they) love to see my kiddos and read about what we're doing, it's just different.

What is absolutely the BEST about these girls, however, is that we can pick up right where we left off like we've seen each other every day. There's never any uncomfortable weirdness when I get back together with them. It's not exactly the same as it used to be, but it's good.

I'm getting together with a handful of friends this weekend. We're having lunch and hanging out and I'm SO excited. We'll be introducing a few new babies and new boyfriends to the group this time and that's so wonderful to me. I can't WAIT to get together with these girls.

Ten years. So much has happened. I can't wait to see what the next ten brings!
