FUN Day Out!

James, Cacky, and I had a FUN day out yesterday! Mom got here around 10:30 and we set out for the Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon. For the record, we were SORELY disappointed in the Cherry Blossom Festival. It was mostly fair-type rides and foods with a few artsy-craftsy vendors. NOTHING like what I expected. I guess I'm partial to things like The Yellow Daisy Festival, minus the crowd! (And that's another thing - it was CROWDED on a week day!)

After we left there, we headed down to Ingleside Village Pizza and had the White Pizza. It was SO good! We had a fun time there. It was a really interesting place to eat!

We had promised we'd run by to see Aunt Susie, Seth, and Susana before we headed home and we were SO looking forward to seeing them. Poor Little James, who had only had a short nap before we left for Macon, was a tired little man, but he persevered to entertain the crowd! He pulled Susana's hair, made faces at Seth, sang to Aunt Susie, shook his rattle, and rolled over to their delight. Then he conked out in my arms and we decided it was time to go. We had the BEST time visiting them and I hope they'll take a "field trip" to see us soon!

Sadly, I left my camera in my car so I don't have any pictures of our outing. Susana, however, is the camera queen so I stole these two from her:

Once we left Macon, we decided James might nap for a little while so we headed to Perry to The Sugarplum Tree, my all-time favorite children's clothing store and Eddie's LEAST favorite. James needed a shirt and shoes for Easter and I got both while I was there. We came home and made him try on his new treasures and he is going to be the CUTEST baby in the nursery on Easter Sunday!

Yesterday morning I got a treat in the mail! The story on my treat is that back in December at Kate's Christmas party, I saw Mary Beth wearing a pair of CUTE suede boots with a wedge heel. She had them on over her jeans and she was just the cutest thing! I set out on a mission to find a similar pair. I searched high and low and couldn't find anything exactly like what she had, but I did find a pair that was similar. Now, because we're on a budget I couldn't afford the $128 price tag so I decided to wait them out. I checked on them every once in a while and they finally dropped to $72. I still felt guilty about buying them for that price because I just got a pair of cowboy boots in January. So I waited again. THEN they went down to $56.74. Perfect. On Monday I told Eddie I'd be ordering them and while he didn't say no, he wasn't thrilled. THEN I FOUND OUT THAT AMAZON OWNS THE WEBSITE I WANTED TO BUY THEM FROM! The good news about that was that I had a $50 Amazon gift card from Christmas AND I got free two-day shipping!!! So...the $6.74 boots:

They came yesterday and I love them. I must've tried them on with five outfits last night. The bad news is that they're here just in time to be put in the attic until the fall. But I can't wait to wear them!

I know I've worn y'all out talking today so I'll let this be the end of this post. I have a few more things to blog about, though, so I'll be back soon!
