It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year...

Not Christmas yet, but at our house today we were certainly NOT feeling like it was summer anymore. When I left the house at 7:10 it was a crisp 43* outside. CHILLY! I broke out the puffy vest this weekend (a pink one) and found a $20 bill in the pocket! (Hint, hint...hide some money in there at the end of the season and you'll THINK it's Christmas the next year!)

All of this cool weather means only one thing for me...baking. It's a good thing we brought back bikes a few weekends ago! This afternoon after a TERRIBLE day at school (love my kids, don't like their parents sometimes...) I pulled out my brand spanking new, never before been used, RED KitchenAid stand mixer and put it to work. I baked about 20 Pumpkin Bread Muffins before Eddie got home, and I must say that they are de-lish! After eating 3 before supper, we decided a bike ride and some Wii was in order! (I wore my BLACK puffy vest, in case you wondered!) Did you know that riding a bike for the first time in over a year hurts your thighs???

We're heading home this weekend to go to ESMS for the Moving Vietnam Memorial Wall. I'm so excited for Susan now that it's finally here. I can't wait to see all the hard work she's put in for that. Should be a great experience.

And for Shelley and MaraDare...I bought new BareTraps this weekend. Brown ones. From DSW. I think they're the most comfortable, greatest shoes EVER.
