25 Days of Christmas

Well, I COMPLETELY failed at 31 Days of Halloween. Completely. Our Disney trip threw me for a loop. We did a LOT more around Halloween but I just completely failed in posting. Did I even share Halloween pictures? I don't even know at this point. I do know, though, that I'm ready to take this blog back! I've been a slacker and that's about to change!

I've done 25 Days of Christmas a time or two before and I plan to try to do it again this year. We don't decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving because those are Eddie's rules, but that hasn't stopped me from listening to Christmas music, reading Christmas books, and watching Christmas movies already. It's just the most wonderful time of the year and I love to celebrate it!

I do the holidays up big at our house. I know that isn't for everyone, but it's my favorite thing. I share my memories here so that I'll be able to keep them forever! If you find inspiration in that, wonderful! If doing over-the-top holidays is not for you, that's ok, too!

I have so many fun ideas for the boys this year. They are at the BEST ages. James wrote his letter to Santa this week and I have to say, Santa SCORED. He finished shopping last weekend and he guessed a few things and James put them on his list this week. They're going to be thrilled. I'm doing less (gifts-wise) this year than I've done before and I'm excited about that. I got a pep talk from a friend the other day about that. Our children are watching. They won't remember each and every gift the receive year after year, but they'll remember how we treated Christmas. I'm excited to unwrap a hands-on, giving, time-together Christmas.

Please let me know if you do another Christmas book exchange! I so enjoyed participating a couple of years ago (or was that last year??)!
