Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I hope that your year is off to a great start! I sort of love the start of a new year. I try to start with a new, fresh perspective. I think it helps that we're coming off of the holiday season where my house has been decorated for something since the beginning of October. You put all of those decorations away and it's a clean slate. We took our trees down on New Year's Eve but I haven't gotten everything else put away yet. I'm looking forward to SCRUBBING THIS HOUSE.

We just arrived back home last night after long weekend trip to Palm Coast from the 1st-4th. We didn't have any internet access while we were gone {except on our phones} so I read and read and read and didn't worry about blogging. I'm sure Eddie LOVED that we had no wifi. We had a GREAT trip and I'll recap it all tomorrow.

Our New Year's Eve was very, very, very low key this year. I've actually never spent New Year's Eve away from my children so we don't get wild and crazy. We had tacos for supper (venison tacos...James thought it was awesome!), played a game, and then walked next door for marshmallows, sparklers, and small fire works. We did the Netflix countdown (James LOVED it!) and the boys were in bed by 10pm. :) Eddie and I spent the rest of the night packing for the beach and cleaning up Christmas.

NYE Dance Party!!!

As for resolutions, I've thought about them, but I haven't really mapped anything out yet. I always set a Goodreads book goal and I have a LOFTY one this year - 75 books. Eeeek! That's WAY higher than anything I've previously set or met. I'm one in so far. I also need to set some Jamberry goals, some lifestyle (i.e. drop some pounds!!!) goals, and some family goals.

We're eating our Hoppin' John a little late - tonight on the 5th - because we had Chick-fil-A and seafood on the 1st. :)

Hope you and your family have a wonderful 2015!
