Last week we planned to meet James' favorite friend, Anne Margaret, and her mama and brother at the splash pad in town. The kids were SO excited, it was something we wanted to mark off our list, and we'd been looking forward to it for days.
You know what's not fun when you get to the splash pad?
No water.
Thankfully, there were no meltdowns because of the lack of water and we just skipped off to the playground instead! Mrs. Lauren watched Baby CT3, our strollers, and our bags and I ran after three wild hooligans all over the playground equipment. Whew! Three is not easy, folks!
James surprised me by climbing like a monkey to the tippy top of the playground almost immediately after we got there and he slid down the biggest slide over and over. My little scared-of-heights child didn't even bat an eye at the playground yesterday! Woohoo!
We had a little picnic on the swing and then I loaded up two tired boys and took them home for a bath and a nap! Whew! So much fun but summertime is HOT!
