James had a little bit of a rough day around here. If he wasn't doing what he wanted to do he was in timeout or having the THREAT of timeout. He had to go straight to bed tonight after pushing Will in the bathtub and at one point today he hit Eddie in the face with a tape measure. Lawd help. Anyway, this was too funny that I couldn't not share.
This afternoon, Eddie got onto James for something {I don't even remember what} and told him to go to his room for timeout. {Timeout is his bed.} As he was walking out, clearly frustrated with us, he yelled, "BAH, HUMBUG!"
I barely held my laughter in until he got out of earshot. That kid! Makes us ill and makes us laugh all at the same time.
{I should also document that we took James to "big church" today for the first real time. He went when we had Will christened but I *think* I took him to the nursery before the sermon. Today he was quiet but not at all still. We'll try again in the months to come, but I'm still perfectly okay with him staying in the nursery until he's four. He was quite impressed with the acolyte (who is a friend so he was doubly intrigued!), liked seeing Mrs. Krissy, and enjoyed all of the singing and up and down parts of church. I didn't realize we'd be taking him until we left this morning and he begged to go on the way to church. I had a coloring book and crayons but he's not big on coloring. Next time I'll try to remember to take something that might occupy him longer.}
