Gators Drink Bad Milk...

Totally random, but James told us yesterday morning that the "Gators drink BAD MILK." I almost fell out of my chair laughing. As if wearing jean shorts wasn't bad enough, they also drink bad milk. Hysterical. Can't you just hear it in Sanford Stadium? "GATORS DRINK BAD MILK!" *Clap* *Clap* *Clap, clap, clap*

We left on Thursday afternoon to go to Tifton for part of the weekend. Eddie had a meeting on Thursday night (that I made him late getting to...) and I had a Willow House show on Saturday so we just loaded up and stayed a few days.

I had big plans to get out in the big city of Tifton and see what was new, shop at Publix (!!!), and go for a walk with Mom through mine and Lib's old rollerblading route (hahaha!) but I woke up Thursday morning feeling like I'd been run over by a truck. Uh oh. There was a lot of inactivity instead of those big plans.

This was James' favorite thing we did the whole time we were in Tifton. Five in the tub. I said, "This is crazy." and he kept yelling, "THIS IS CRAZY!"

Friday night Eddie and I went to dinner (no kids!) with almost all of the dinner club crew - one was working her nightshift hospital job and one is working the hurricane in New York. We had a great time catching up. It went by way too quickly. Hopefully we can sneak another one of those in around Thanksgiving or Christmas this year.

Saturday morning I got up bright and early and went to Tifton's Hilton Garden Inn for a Holiday Market. I had a few orders (more than enough to pay for my table, at least...) and saw several friends I hadn't seen in a while. All in all it was fun and worth it and I would certainly sign up again next year if I had something to sell. One lady had the CUTEST wooden door hangers and I wound up with an Uga I'll probably hang on James' door. And I'm SURE I'm going to be purchasing more from her in the future. They were so cute!

After the Holiday Market was over, I packed up and went to Grandmama and Granddaddy's to pick up the boys and head home. We got home a little later than we'd planned, had cereal for supper, got baths, and put the boys to bed. Georgia won! Woohoo! I mentioned to Eddie that we needed to set our clocks back but he reminded me that the ones in our bedroom set themselves. I need to remember to reset the rest now, though.

Sunday morning Eddie woke me up for church and I felt even WORSE than I had. Like TWO trucks had run over me. Eddie got up and planned to take himself and James to church anyway. Then James pitched a fit. We have got something major going on in our house, folks. Major. James ONLY has meltdowns on Sunday mornings getting ready for church. And they are the lay-in-the-floor-kicking-and-screaming fits. Will sleeps horribly on Saturday nights. It never fails. I'm always up two, three, sometimes FOUR times with him. What IS it? Anyway, James pitched a MONSTER fit about going to church - he LOVES going to church - and started saying that HE didn't feel good. So no one went yesterday. I laid on the sofa all day long. All. day. Except to get up to blow my nose. My sinus infection is still there but has also moved into my chest so I am CERTAIN bronchitis is on the horizon. Woohoo!

Anyway, we spent the day at home. Which is the exact OPPOSITE of what I needed to do. We'd planned to go run a few errands and shop for Christmas card picture clothes yesterday afternoon. Our pictures are Wednesday afternoon. Hopefully I'll be able to get out today and find something. The boys are relatively easy. I, however, am not.

Yes, that is my baby in the back of that truck. Want to know how to give a mama a heart attack? Do this with her 3 year old. I almost lost it.

So what's on the agenda this week? Skipping out on library time today. Hopefully a little shopping this afternoon/evening. Haircuts for half of us tomorrow. Pictures on Wednesday. School on Wednesday and Friday (please pray James does NOT get sick.) And hopefully a lunch date with a friend on Friday if I'm well (she has a newborn). Know what's NOT on my agenda? Putting out Christmas decorations. All of you people who started that on November 1st are making me laugh. What in the world? Thanksgiving is plenty early this year to be able to enjoy them for long enough, in my opinion! (But do keep posting pictures because they're pretty.) We might start listening to Christmas music this week, but that's where I draw the line.

It was so good to see you on Saturday! I wish we could've had longer to catch up. And, I think I know what you can sell next year... :)
