I discovered a new blog this morning that I thought I'd share with y'all. I was searching for preschool curriculum online and found Oopsey Daisy. She's a stay-at-home mama who has put together a few little packets of curriculum for young learners at home. I am THRILLED to have found this.
I've wanted to start our "preschool" at home for a while but haven't had much material for it. We've been singing our A, B, C's and counting for a while (no, he doesn't do either along with me - unless you count singing "E, E, E, E," to the tune of the alphabet song) but nothing that's very organized.
I sat down this afternoon and created a guide to go by next week. I'll try to share with you what we're doing at the end of each week in case you want to play along as well. My goal is to work on a letter, number, shape/color each week. We're going to try to read books and sing songs based on those things and have at least one outing associated with them. Next week we're going to look at A, 1, and red. Our outing might be to see the airplanes. Anyone want to join us? Anyone???
Anyway, because I didn't have any other blog material for this afternoon, I thought I'd share that with you. Crossing my fingers we're able to get some of this done next week so I'll have plenty to share with you!
Y'all have a great weekend!
