Sunday was our last day in Tifton. It was another busy, but fun day. By this time, though, we were all dragging a little from lack of sleep.
After breakfast at Grandmamma's and Granddaddy's, Papa, YaYa, Grandmommie, and Aunt Kelly came over to visit and play. Papa was leaving to go fishing and YaYa and Grandmommie were on their way home to Roswell.
After they all left we headed to Kelly's to swim in her pool. I think it might've been 120* and it wasn't even noon yet! James had a fun time swimming but was tired and hasn't quite mastered the puddle jumper yet. He had a few meltdowns (only with me!) before we called it quits and headed back to Grandmamma's for baths. Maybe we'll try again soon!
(I don't think I even mentioned that Friday night James busted his lip when he tripped over the leg of a rocking chair! You can see it a little in the picture below. It was BAD but it didn't swell as much as we thought it would!)
After we were cleaned up, we went to Poppy and Cacky's to eat lunch. We even got to see the bride and groom! (They left Sunday to drive to Tallahassee and flew out to Antigua on Monday morning.) Sonny wanted me to take pictures of the roses so I got several outside pictures while we were there.
After lunch we headed across town to John Michael's FIRST birthday party! Woohoo! Poor James was pooped by the time 2:00 rolled around. He fell asleep in the car and we had a HARD time getting him to wake up. After he did, he enjoyed the party. It was a Mickey party so you know he liked that! (I woke him up so he would sleep in the car on the way home!)
Miss Lily was a hoot! Every time I took out my camera she posed for me!
Big Brother Charlie (below with his cousin, Brooks) was a proud brother the whole party. He kept saying, "It's my brother's BIRTHDAY!" He is so proud of JM! (I didn't get one stinkin' picture of JM - but I bet his mama and daddy did!)
The whole weekend was fun but we were wiped out! Of course, I only had ONE thing on my calendar all week long and that quickly turned into several things every day! Oh well! Resting and having a clean house are for the birds! Ha!
