July 15th: Grandmama and Granddaddy

Way back two weeks ago, Grandmama and Granddaddy came for a visit. Remember me telling you about what an ill-pill James was? He. was. a. grump.

Nevertheless, they were here and we tried to make the most of our time!

First, they played with James until Eddie got home from work. Then, we headed up to Macon to look for something for Granddaddy's boat. (I'm honestly not sure what...)

Before we shopped, we ate at La Parilla. It's normally VERY good. However, Thursday night is apparently live music and loud customer night. It's also have-one-hundred-birthdays night. Do you know how loud the birthday celebrating is in a Mexican restaurant? Do you know how much James does not like loud noises? If you do, then you know how much I enjoyed my meal. Not. at. all. (Ill pill + loud restaurant = unhappy all around.)

After supper we walked to Dick's Sporting Goods and wandered around. Then we headed to Bass Pro Shop. The Freshes had never been to a Bass Pro. I was shocked! (I actually sort of like those stores. I think it's all the decorations. And the fish!)

James enjoyed all the animals. Here, he is petting a bear:

Grandmama and Granddaddy are tricky about having their pictures made. I had to be sneaky. I still only caught Grandmama.
