Busy Boy!

I thought I might give you a taste today of what James is into these days.

He loves to go into our office (where all kinds of dangerous things live) and get into everything.

One of his favorite things is this file box. It's heavy enough that it doesn't move when he pushes on it so he can pull himself to standing pretty easily. See in the above picture how he's lifted up the handle? He also knows how to push the handle down onto his fingers, but doesn't know how to not do it. I've had to rescue his fingers from his own body weight several times.

Beside Eddie's desk is a box of "to be gone through" stuff, an old computer, and a set of plastic drawers with paper and cds. This is an absolute goldmine for things to be gone through! He loves it!

This is his response to "No, no!" He looks at me like "What? I couldn't hear you," or "If I make myself look really cute will you ignore that I'm doing something I shouldn't be?"

Or it could be his "There she goes with that camera again," face.

His absolute favorite "toys" are in the two baskets I have at the bottom of this bookshelf. One has various electronics in it that have cords attached. Cords are his favorite things. (Don't worry...they are taken away before chewed on.) In the basket he's in in these pictures I have lots and lots of cds...blank cds, picture cds, music cds. He pulls them all out, I pick them all up, and he pulls them all out again.

Into everything is the understatement of the year. This boy is busy! And you don't have to tell me that it's going to get worse. I'm well aware. I have laughed before at myself for thinking that a few months ago he was difficult. Piece of cake. It gets harder every month, but we love every second! (Almost!)
