Lake Keowee: June 16th, Day 5

We tried to make the most of our day on Wednesday. We'd actually planned to head home on Wednesday afternoon, but it quickly became apparent that wasn't going to happen.

Instead, we headed out on the pontoon with Aly, Brad, Grandmommie, Gray, and Cole!

We went to a place known as "Party Cove." It's apparently a pretty popular hangout on the weekends but we were there with only one other boat!

The boys (minus Eddie and James) climbed on the rocks. Brad actually saw some snakes while he was walking around so he quickly ushered his boys away from the rocks and closer to the boat.

Unfortunately, Anderson was hit by a major storm on Tuesday night. The car repair shop didn't call us on Wednesday morning like they'd promised so by mid-afternoon Eddie began calling them. He called and he called and he called. The line was busy! Finally, knowing that he'd have to leave the lake by about 4 to pick up the car by 5, he called his cousin to see if he knew another number. The cousin explained how bad the storm had been - trees were down everywhere! - and decided he would drive down to find out about our car.

Bill called Eddie back a little while later and the car place had been unable to do anything all day (I still don't understand why they couldn't just pop the hood and look). SO...we were supposed to leave on Thursday morning and we had no vehicle in which to leave. They swore that they would call us back first thing Thursday morning.
