Well, our little chunker had his official measurements made at Dr. W.'s office this morning. He has gotten so roly-poly, but Dr. W. was not the least bit concerned about it! At 2 months, 19 days James is 24 inches in length (somewhere between 75th and 90th percentile) and is 14 pounds, 11 ounces (90th percentile). Woo wee! I guess I'm doing my job! Shouldn't have spent all that time agonizing over breastfeeding before I had him, should I? Ha!
James also had to have three shots (DTaP, Hepatitis B, Polio, Pneumococcal Disease, Hib, and a liquid rotovirus immunization) and he made the nurse well-aware that he was not happy. I fed him at 8 AM and they didn't call us back until after 10:30 so he was already very close to being hungry. Being the award-winning mama that I am, I forgot to bring a pacifier so he just had to cry it out. He quieted down soon after getting his shots and getting dressed. Eddie put him in his carseat and took him to the car and he was out.
We got back home around 11:30 and I thought he'd wake up and want to eat immediately. We're now 4 hours and 40 minutes past breakfast and he's still sleeping. I almost hate to wake him up because I don't want him to feel bad. I think I'll give him until 1 and then try to rouse him enough to eat a little bit and take some Tylenol.
Overall, our first shots went well! He'll be three months on January 20th and we go back for our 4-month checkup on February 19th. Can't wait to see how much weight he's gained next time! Wow!

Wow, our sons are only 9 days apart (Oct. 29). He's such a cutie, congrats. At our 2 month, Remington weighed 9 lbs 11.5 oz.
Love a chunky baby!
