We've been busy little bees around here lately! Finishing up The Boy's room and working on getting things organized/fixed around the house are taking up most of our time lately!
This past weekend we were able to go out to eat with Ken, Carrie, and their girls on Friday night. We enjoyed seeing them (even though Eddie sees Carrie every day!) and eating Mexican food.
Saturday Eddie spent the day in the yard. He worked on cleaning and organizing the garage as well. We unfortunately have too much "stuff" and it has all been pushed out to the garage to await further inspection. So the inspecting, trashing, putting in the attic or elsewhere has begun. It has gone well so far. Just a little more and I'll be able to park my car in there!
On Sunday we had a visit from Emily. It was great to catch up with her. I haven't seen her in a LONG time and when I do occasionally run into her, it's usually just for a minute. She stayed for a long time and we were able to catch up and laugh about things I hadn't thought about in a long time!
Yesterday we went to the doctor's office, obviously. I spent the afternoon being uncomfortable, tired, and yucky feeling on the couch. I guess that's life at 37 weeks, though. Funny how I THOUGHT that I was uncomfortable back in June and July. Ha! Not even close! I move at the pace of a snail these days. My ribs and back hurt incessantly. I'm tired and hot all the time and when I'm actually able to lie down, I can't sleep. I toss and turn all night long without being able to comfortably toss and turn - I'm like an upside-down turtle. Enough whining...
After work yesterday Eddie's office threw us ANOTHER shower. I didn't take any pictures at all but I noticed Kelly taking some so if she shares them with me I'll post them on here. We got LOTS of really cute, necessary stuff. It was nice to mark a few more things off of my list of needs.
Mom spent the night last night and she and I got up today and ran some errands and then spent the afternoon doing some things around here. She helped me with the chores that I've been slacking off on because I'm just not able to get them done. It was nice to mark THOSE things off my list, too!
The rest of my week will be devoted to my other cleaning tasks and getting my hospital bag packed and The Boy's room totally organized and ready. The Freshes are coming on Saturday to help Eddie around the house with a few different things. Unfortunately, most of what's on the list are things I won't be much help with. I'm sure I'll be spending my time picking up, putting away, organizing, and cleaning. I feel like Nesting is in full-on mode right now. Mom reminded me today that it's almost October so I probably need to pull my Halloween/Fall decorations out. That may also wind up on my list on Saturday. I'm not into the decorating this year, but it will look cute and I need to get my house together!
The worst part of all of this is the unknown of it. I wish that my doctors would say, "Ok. We know that you'll definitely have this baby on THIS date..." That would be SO nice. Do I have one more day? Two weeks? Four weeks??? I'm winding down and getting whiny, I know. I'm ready to meet this little man!

Welcome to the real world. Some of us have been blessed (some more than once) to be where you are now and KNOW EXACTLY what you are describing:)
