This weekend turns out to be a pretty neat one for us. One year ago tomorrow, Eddie asked me to marry him. He asked last night if I wanted to go to Applebee's (which is where we had to go to celebrate...Dublin was low on happening places...). I, however, wanted to go to Red Lobster - for whatever reason. Today we're celebrating by going to see Australia at the $2 theater and having lunch at a new Greek restaurant in town.
Monday happens to be six months since we got married! We probably won't do anything to celebrate (we're not Keith and Shelley for goodness sake!) but I thought it was significant nevertheless. My how much has changed in one year!
* We got engaged..
* I went to the job fair in Houston County and started interviewing around...
* We began looking for houses...
* We started planning our wedding...
* I got a job...
* Eddie's job relocated him from the Dublin office to the new Perry office...
* Eddie moved from Dublin to the lake house...
* We got married...
* I moved from Tifton to the lake house...
* I started my new job...
* We bought a house...
* We fixed up the house...
* We moved into the partially fixed up house...
* Eddie had surgery (and feels much better!)...
* We celebrated our first married Christmas - and experienced the running around like crazy people to see all parts of our families...
It's amazing how many big things can happen within a year!
(Please, please excuse the nastiness of the photo above. It is the ONLY picture of us from the day we got engaged. It was taken - obviously by me - at about 11 PM that night. Recall, if you will, that I teach and had gone straight from school to Dublin and then out to eat. Don't hold the picture against me!!!)
Thanks for asking me to marry you, husband! I love you so much and have had such a fun year! Can't wait for many, many more!
