Sick and Sad.

Back when James was 14 months-3 years old we went through a period of being sick all. the. time. Oh my word I felt like we'd never get through it. About the time we moved when he was 3.5 years old he turned a corner and really hasn't had many sick days since then. {KNOCK ON WOOD.} Unfortunately, I think we're in that time of life with Will. I know a lot of it is that he still puts EVERYTHING in his mouth and doesn't know about germs and hand washing and not touching his eyes, nose, and mouth, but it's still so exhausting! Bless his heart. In October he had a double ear infection, in December he had an upper respiratory virus, and he has the same thing again. I know that it's minor compared to LOTS of illnesses {and I still maintain that it's better than the throw-ups}, but poor buddy has had a rough go of it!

Will went to school on Monday with a little cough. He was awake and in my bed most of the night Monday night so I made the executive decision to keep him home. He acted pretty much fine aside from the cough so I second guessed myself, but when he woke up from his nap on Tuesday he was burning up. He ran fever Tuesday, Wednesday, and today. His worst day was definitely yesterday. No eating, high fever, lots of laying on the sofa. Thankfully, I think he's turned a corner and is feeling better tonight. I, however, and EXHAUSTED. Being up with him all night to hand him Gatorade has worn me out.

I'm going to crawl in bed and watch an episode of Blue Bloods.
Good night!
