Peach Ice Cream

We're back from the beach!

I'm busy this morning doing lots and lots {and lots and lots} of laundry and sorting through all of our pictures of our time in Palm Coast, but I thought I'd update the 'ol blog and share a recipe that we found while we were there that we THOROUGHLY enjoyed. (Original recipe from the Hillbilly Housewife.)

Ingredients:
* 2.5 pounds fresh, ripe peaches
* 3/4 cup sugar (here's where our recipe differs from hers...more sugar!)
* 2 cups half-and-half
* 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
* 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
* 2 teaspoons vanilla
* 2 cups whole milk

1. Peel peaches and remove the pit. You can finely chop peaches or throw them in a blender for pureeing. Add 1/4 cup of sugar to peaches and stir.
2. Mix in half-and-half. Stir in remaining ingredients and pour into your machine.
3. Follow machine's directions for making the ice cream.
4. Enjoy!

We'll be doubling ours next time. It was gone VERY quickly!
