I felt like a champ yesterday. I've been moving a little bit slower this morning, but yesterday I felt like I got about 100 things knocked off my to-do list!
Mama came up yesterday morning to play. Eddie had a lunch meeting and Methodist Men last night and that usually makes for a lonnnnng day. I called in for reinforcements for entertainment! :) Usually when she's here I get a little bit done but I really just sit and visit for the most part. Yesterday, I was on top of my to-do list!
I...
* went to the bank. (Funny story, we pulled in and James yelled, "Yea, Mama! You made it!" Hmm...think I'm a bad driver? ;) Ha!)
* went to Target to get swaddles, a new memory card for my camera, and Sunbutter (the sunflower seed version of peanut butter...I'll let you know how it goes!)
* went to Hobby Lobby to look for wubbie fabric for Baby Brother. Unsuccessful.
* charged and packed all of my cameras for the hospital.
* ordered thank you notes with Baby Brother's name on them.
* ordered minky fabric for the inside of the bumper and one side of his wubbie. James is going to flip when he sees four yards of this stuff. ;)
* ordered crib sheets, a changer cover, a Nap Nanny (I bit the bullet because it was on sale...if I find one to borrow from someone I'll just return it), three allergy books, and an Arthur allergy movie for James.
What? That doesn't sound like much? Well, for someone who has been out of commission with a sick child and/or a sick body for the last two weeks, I felt great! (I assure you that when the credit card bill comes in, Eddie will feel like it's a lot!)
So far today I've finished completely cleaning the nursery. I've done everything I can do for now. Just waiting on the things I've ordered to come in. Hopefully I'll find some curtains, frames, and art for the walls soon, too!
I have a roast in the crockpot. Smells delish!
I've watched Sweet Home Alabama (the show) and Alcatraz (the premiere). Is anyone watching Alcatraz? I LOVED the first episode. I think it's going to be good!
All the baby laundry is officially washed and put away! I need to wash our carseat cover tonight and then install carseats tomorrow and that will be marked off my list as well!
I need to get a little more cleaning done before James comes home from school and then I think I'll crash and take a nap when he does. Little man did NOT let me sleep last night. I'm not sure if he felt bad or if he was overly tired, but he woke up probably five times screaming with night terrors. I put him in the bed with us instead of having to get up and down all night (usually if he has one, it's an all-night event). Eddie didn't even hear him! So between screaming, having to potty every 15 minutes, and Eddie snoring away I don't think I slept at all. If it happens again tonight, I'm changing beds!
I'll leave you with a picture of this silly boy:
