Happy Mother's Day and a Menu...

We have had the most laid-back Mother's Day imaginable. With the little man still not feeling well (although Motrin apparently did the trick...he was bouncing off the walls until 10pm), we opted not to go to church and infect others' children. Instead, I slept until 9! James woke up at midnight and got a little more Tylenol (Saturday night/Sunday morning) and had a juice box before going back to bed. He was HOT then...around 102*. He's felt really pitiful all day long. He was up at 4:30 and then again at 6:30. Eddie talked to his aunt tonight and she mentioned that it could be his throat since we're not seeing any other symptoms. He's not throwing up, no runny nose, hasn't pulled on his ears. If he's anything like his mama it will definitely be those tonsils. We're going to head to the doctor as soon as we can tomorrow.

After skipping church we decided to have a late breakfast and a late lunch. We tried several restaurants (I did not want to wait with a sick baby) before going back to our trusty Mexican restaurant. James perked up while we were there and talked to everyone in the restaurant. "Our" waiter knows us now so it's funny to see James interact with him.

We laid around all afternoon. My one request was that Eddie watch the newest Harry Potter with me. He read his homework while it was on and I actually fell asleep. When James woke up from his nap he climbed in bed with us and we all slept for a while. James slept for a total of 3 hours this afternoon. Again, not typical for my child!

The boys gave me an umbrella for my patio table today. I've been looking for one that didn't cost $1,000 so I'm glad they got it for me. We spend so much time outside and I'm certain in the future we'll be eating meals out on the patio so we'll need it.

Our week is a little wacky so I'm planning to only cook twice. Hopefully both meals will be good! The crock-pot pork loin I'm planning for tomorrow is listed under my recipes tab at the top of the blog. It's under my Easter meal. Hope y'all had a great weeked!
