The Sickies...And TWO Giveaways!

I'm not sure about the other families in America, but at our house we are READY for SPRING. Mostly because we've been sicker this winter than we've ever been before and the cost of medicine is ridiculous.

This time, it's my turn. (And Eddie's...and when I put James to bed he got Triaminic because his nose is starting to run.) I mentioned that I didn't feel well on Friday night. By Saturday, I had a sore throat. Then my ears started hurting. On Monday night when I went to sleep my throat was dry and I felt like I needed to sip water every five minutes. (I think I actually did...no sleep at all!) Mama had planned to come up on Tuesday for a visit anyway, so the minute that she walked in the door I went to the Med Stop down the street. I thought I'd be in and out in an hour. WRONG. THREE hours later I left with a shaky diagnosis and two prescriptions. The shaky diagnosis is just because I'm certain I have my usual bout with bronchitis but I went to the doctor before it has moved into my chest. The doctor was shocked that I didn't have strep after she looked at my tonsils. They didn't do a brain swab flu test, thank the good Lord! So what do I have aside from my self-diagnosed bronchitis? An upper respiratory infection (I'm assuming we're talking sinuses here) and pharyngitis. That's about par for the course for me this time of the year. I have started feeling worse and worse. Body aches and headaches, super sore throat and dizziness.

The worst part of all of this is that Eddie's family is coming into town this weekend and I hate to be sick when we have visitors. We've already called to let the way out of towners know that I'm sick and they decided to come anyway since they're not staying at our house. I may wind up shut up away from everyone this weekend. Pray that we're all well by Friday afternoon!!!

In an unrelated note, I'm doing TWO giveaways on other blogs right now! I know! Crazy! (So y'all be super sweet and support me so that I can do more, okay???) Whitney (an in-real-life friend) at Keeping up with Kynlee is hosting one of them and Ashley at Ashley's Avenue (one of the girls Eddie refers to as "The Arkansas Girls") is hosting another! Stop by both places and enter!
