Surely I'm not the only person who thinks that this nasty muggy weather is ridiculous?! I hope that cool weather moves in QUICKLY. Last winter was CHILLY here. Does that mean we'll have a mild winter this year? I hope not!

We have been busy people today! First of all, I've had the hardest time going to sleep lately. I was awake until 2AM! I don't know if I just have too much on my mind or if it was because I drank a Diet Coke at supper. Regardless, I was WIDE awake. I watched Swamp People on A&E. It was fascinating! I really liked watching them hunt alligators! Ha! Because of my going-to-be-too-late problem, I've also had a hard time getting up in the morning. I usually rely on James to get me up but he's been sleeping until around 9 every morning! I guess I should just enjoy it, huh?

We had a lunch date with Eddie planned today so I was trying to get a shower and get James dressed, etc., and he was NOT having it. If I wasn't holding him, he was crying. Sometimes listening to a crying baby is enough to get your blood pressure up and make you sweaty! Needless to say, I was ready to leave the house!!!

We early-voted and learned that even though I've changed my name on my voter registration it was entered incorrectly. I had to vote today as Lauren {Middle Name} {Maiden Name} {Maiden Name}. That's right. Not only was the last name incorrect, it was also in the computer TWICE. I didn't sign my name that way. So...I had the pleasure of filling out another voter registration card. I wound up taking like 15 minutes longer than Eddie so he and James went across the street to the tractor store while they waited on me.

After our lunch date (to Chick-fil-A) James and I had to go to Target and to Toys 'R Us. I got some of my Christmas shopping done this morning! I also bought about $100 worth of Halloween candy. Seriously, why is candy so expensive??? I haven't decided whether we're going to answer the door on Saturday night. (Our town is trick-or-treating on Saturday.) We definitely have to have it for Trunk-or-Treat with the church on Sunday, though!

So that's what's going on in our neck of the woods. What's going on with all of you today?

Well...I woke up on Tuesday gagging. I woke up yesterday with a sinus headache. I woke up today with a sinus headache, a stomach ache and a sore throat. Lance woke up in the middle of the night last night throwing up and skipped work today (what a baby, J/K)! We've been sick all week.

I know! Why in the world is candy so expensive?? It seems like every year that I buy TONS of it, we have NO trick-or-treaters and then when i barely buy any, we have kids coming to the door non-stop. haha! :)
