At Long Last...

To the grandmothers, great grandmother, and aunts that read the blog to see their baby, let me apologize for the lapse in pictures. It took me over an hour to upload these because the computer is so darn slow. I promise it's not for lack of taking pictures, but for lack of patience. I'll try to do better!

James and I had an unexpected visit from Cacky today. She called to find out what we were doing (going to Hobby Lobby and Target, what else?) and she decided she could run her errands with us instead of at Wal-Mart in Tifton. We got several things accomplished. My fall wreath has finally been made! And then we sang and played!

James has a few new tricks. Today while I was in the shower he was in his Pack 'N Play and wanted to get out so I started saying "Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake." He cannot resist the Pat-a-Cake so he let go of the PNP to clap along with me. I'm not sure he realized he was standing on his own but he did it TWICE. Then Mama got to witness it while he was "calling" his daddy on his "cellphone" earlier. (Kids these days have cellphones WAY too early.) Besides the major development of STANDING ALONE he has also begun to "Roll 'em up, roll 'em up," when he Pat-A-Cakes. As if those two tricks were not enough, he can also sing "Barbara Ann." He has the "Ba-ba-ba" part down pat! I'm not embellishing this at all. I know it sounds simple enough but if I start to sing it I can stop and he'll continue the "Ba-ba-bas" for me! It's cute. Then, at Target today Cacky sang "Old MacDonald" and he joined in on the E-I-E-I-Os. Sounds more like "E-I-E-I" but I'm choosing to think he's a genius that's just trying to be an individual! He's been a busy boy with all the learning this week! Wish it would make him sleep later in the mornings!

Ok, the pictures you've been waiting for:

Mama made chocolate cake a few weeks ago and sent us home with some. James thoroughly enjoyed it and I got into trouble for feeding it to him right before bedtime. Basically, it turned him into a crazy man.

Grandmama has been cleaning out her attic and came across some of Eddie's baby clothes and shoes. It's too bad she didn't do her cleaning in the spring (she's been pretty busy) because I think we're a good 5 months too late for this little outfit. I don't think Great Grandmama made this, but Eddie had a picture made in it. Rest assured that if I can get my hands on the picture of Eddie, I will post a side-by-side. As long as no one tells him. James isn't big on trying on clothes, but he went along with this. (I love that he looks totally over it in some of the pictures!)

Sundays are made to be lazy (after church) and we have been extremely lazy since the NFL season began. This is a pretty typical Sunday event:

And finally, the eleven month pictures I thought we'd have to take on his birthday:

Yay! Yay! Yay! I laughed and laughed at the ones of him eating cake! See how much better my day can be when you post pictures of my baby!
He looks just like you in one picture and then just like Eddie in the next! It's crazy!
