Weekend Update

Weekend? What weekend???

Friday night after Eddie got off work we grilled steaks at our house. It was a nice change-of-pace not to go out to eat. We enjoyed it!

Saturday morning we got up and drove to Tifton to spend the day. James and Eddie visited with Grandmama and Granddaddy while I went to get my hair cut. I hadn't had it cut since NOVEMBER. Good heavens! Later, Caylor and Nancy stopped by to play with James.

We made plans to stop by Cal and MaraDare's house before Supper Club so that we could look at their swingset. We still haven't built our swingset but that may be our September project. Grayson Anne and James thoroughly enjoyed playing together while we were there! She wanted "Baby James" (he'll never outgrow that nickname!) to sit in her lap. She was VERY sweet with him.

Doesn't she look teensy with him in her lap? She's 3-and-a-half and only weighs 32 pounds so his 20 pounds makes her look even tinier!

I didn't take pictures while we were playing inside but Grayson Anne has a SWEET puppy named Chloe. She is an English Cocker Spaniel and at eight months is pretty much full-grown. She is TEENSY compared to Scout. I put James on the kitchen floor with her and she licked him and smelled him and he LOVED it. I think English Cockers would be on the short list of a dog we would love at our house! Scout is very sweet with James but she's HUGE and too busy to be interested in him!

We had Supper Club at the Bargeron's and all but the Warrens were in attendance. We had a great time visiting with everyone! Chuck and Lori were sweet to get some of Charlie's old toys out of the attic and cleaned up for James and he LOVED the exersaucer. It was perfect! I hope that John Michael enjoys it soon!

We always feel like our time is cut short with our friends. Between everyone having children and a long drive for us, it's just not like it used to be! We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them this weekend!

Yesterday after church Dad, Laura, and Anna came to eat lunch. We ate at a restaurant downtown and I think everyone enjoyed it. James entertained us the rest of the afternoon.

Uncle John stopped by for a very quick visit last night on his way back to Atlanta. Thanks for the delivery, John!

This week is pretty low-key except for the Willow House party. Hoping to get a few things marked off of my list. I actually got TWO of James' Shutterfly books finished up and ordered this morning while James slept. In honor of the first day of school here, he slept until 9:15!!! Hallelujah! I went ahead and got up in hopes that I'd get some chores finished up! It was fantastic!

Hope you all have a great week!!!
