New furniture makes me so excited! We have a new (old) addition to our dining room...one of the rooms that we've been slowly trying to put together. We are actually *almost* finished in there...for now!
When Mrs. Bobby's brother died, it was mentioned that we might inherit the china cabinet that belonged to Eddie's grandmother. We looked at it while we were in South Carolina and agreed that it would probably match our dining room table and chairs that my mama had given to us. An interesting thing about getting married (in our case anyway) is that we wound up with a TON of kitchen and dining room stuff. I love it all and we DO use it on special occassions, but I had nowhere to put it! I've been storing lots of things under our bed, in the attic, and in the guest bedroom's chest of drawers! Ha! I needed something else to hold our stuff! This certainly helped! Now if I can just find a buffet to match that isn't crazy expensive!
Eddie said that the china cabinet would be delivered when the Freshes went to Conway over Spring Break. It wouldn't fit in the trailer. Then it was supposed to be brought when they went in June. Still wouldn't fit. Finally and at last, Mrs. Bobby got it in her car this past trip...but we wouldn't be home when she could come by. She did deliver it last Friday though and I couldn't have been more excited! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
*A note about my dining room paint color. It is GUMBALL red. I thought I would like it. I do not. However, I think that it looks like a crazy red/orange in these pictures. I would never ever in a million years paint ANYTHING in my house orange. It looks better in person. I'd like to repaint but I've been told to dream on!*
Guess what I'm getting ready for??? Willow House Party in Tifton on August 12th! My dining room has been a mess because of me pulling all of my stuff out! Take a look at the catalog (www.willowhouse.com/sneakpeek) and come see me (and Baby James!) on the 12th! (Let me know if you need details!)

So pretty
That is a great piece to be proud of!
How sweet to be giving family treasures. The breakfront is beautiful.

I love it when furniture has a story! It makes it so much more precious!
Your dishes are so pretty!
And my husband is the same way about painting. I always say that I can do it myself, but he feels like he has to do it.
I love that Willow House glass dish out on your table! Let me know if you're having a sale. ;)
