What I'm Reading...

I've slacked off on my reading lately unfortunately. It's getting more and more difficult as James becomes mobile. Crazy how that works, huh?

I finished the Pretty Little Liars series and while I do not recommend them to the middle and high schoolers that they are geared toward, I was sucked into the murder/mystery plot and had to finish. They turned out not to be so bad! I disagree with a lot of the behaviors of the girls in the books, but the overall story was good. Not award winning, but good.

I have to finish Lineage of Grace. I put it down and haven't picked it back up. The last story is of Mary, mother of Jesus and so far it has been powerful!

I'm working on The Mysterious Benedict Society right now because I saw it on the Summer Reading table at Barnes and Noble a few weeks ago and got interested. I'm only about 30% of the way finished with it, but I like it so far. Sometimes it's wonderful to read children's books! It reminds me a lot of the Madeleine L'Engle books, A Wrinkle in Time, etc.

Next on my list is Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. I've really enjoyed her recently!
