3 Weeks...

Eddie took this picture last night. I'd already gone to bed and the little man was NOT cooperating with that so he and his daddy hung out in the den. Eddie pushed him up against the back of the couch and they napped together until midnight. When Eddie woke up, this is what James looked like so he ran and got the camera to snap a cute picture! He said it was even cuter, but that when he got up James moved a tiny bit. Oh well!

At three weeks we're still doing pretty good. We're still getting used to each other and getting into the swing of things. He wakes up in the mornings and usually stays awake for a bit after he eats and then has moments of wakefulness and sleepiness for the rest of the day. I've been trying to make him nap in a few different places during the day. He does best in his swing, but I am trying to get him used to other places. I definitely want him to nap in something other than my arms! That's the biggest thing!

His tiny little face has certainly chubbed up the past few weeks! He has some fluffy little cheeks and I love to squeeze them! He's also starting to recognize me and my voice and smiles and smiles at me. I LOVE that! These are definitely intentional smiles and I am eating them up! He doesn't show quite as much recognition of Eddie yet, but he listens intently to him and stares at him when he holds him. That will happen soon! I love to see them together!

We've enjoyed all 21 days we've had with our boy! We surely can't complain about our sweet son! So thankful to have him!
