Just Call Me Susie Homemaker...

Yesterday I spent an hour in Hobby Lobby, concocting ideas about creative things that I can make for The Boy's room. The problem? I don't know what The Boy's room will look like, yet. Colors? Themes? Patterns? We have no idea. So...I still bought a lot of stuff.

I spent the afternoon at the dining room table creating homemade wooden baby blocks. I'll show you a picture when they're totally done (I'd show you one now but I'm too lazy to get the camera, take a picture, and download the picture to my computer). Let's just say it involved lots of red paint, different patterns of scrapbook paper, some lettering, and a bunch of Mod Podge. I'd forgotten about the smell of that stuff. Makes me think of high school (back when it was cool to collage).

This morning I'm already up and at 'em. And when I say at 'em, I mean I'm drinking coffee and eating a Pop-Tart and it's not even 8:15 yet. And I'm breaking all kinds of pregnancy-food rules, I know.

I am also, this very morning, using my bread machine that Susan got me for a wedding gift. I've never used it. It scared me. I'd rather eat Mrs. Bobby's homemade (NOT in a bread machine, my goodness!) bread. But seeing as our stash in the freezer has run out, I'm moving on to other means of getting it. I'm just making plain-old white bread. And to cheat even more, all of the ingredients (aside from the water from the sink) came from a box labeled "Krusteaz." It's just plain sinful.

I'll let you know how it tastes.
