Lately...

I guess it's pretty obvious that I've gone back to school - what with the blog-free week and all. I've been back with kiddos for a total of 4 days...which means we have approximately 86 days left with them. I would NEVER count down to my teenager-free days...not me!

Our days last week seemed action-packed but we didn't get much accomplished. I was exhausted by the time I got home every day - teaching will do that to you. Eddie participated in a Leadership Warner Robins retreat and had dinner with them on Wednesday night and had to spend Friday night out on base.

Mom came up on Friday afternoon so that we could have a girls' night. We went to Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Kohl's before having dinner at a mexican restaurant down the road. Then we had an evening full of CSI for entertainment. I've become a little more than obsessed with Law and Order type shows lately!

Saturday we spent the morning browsing the stores in downtown Perry. This consisted of only about 4 or 5 stores but they were cutesy and we enjoyed it. Mom went back home after lunch and I spent the afternoon watching a movie (read: napping...).

Today was a catch-up-around-the-house day after church. We've gotten a few things done - the garage is looking a little more organized thanks to Eddie.

Nothing exciting to note about this week. No plans or anything. Hopefully next weekend will hold a few fun things for us. We're thinking about seeing Australia at the $1 theater and trying out a new Greek restaurant.

Of course, I can't forget to mention the MOST IMPORTANT stuff. The exciting news in Kathleen has been the opening of Mellow Mushroom! Apparently there are some loony-birds around here who don't mind waiting over an hour to eat pizza. Every time we drive by there (even at 4 pm on Friday!) the place has been PACKED and there's been a line outside. I guess we'll have to wait a while to try it out because I refuse to be a part of that madness!

Someone has a birthday on Tuesday and someone else on Wednesday of this week! Maybe I'll embarrass them (especially the one on Tuesday!) on their big days!
