Vegetable Soup and Jiffy Cornbread

I'm cooking and the house smells lovely! Fall is in the air around here! Eddie debated going to the next door neighbor's house today to hire their teenage son to get the leaves up out of our yard (he ran over all of his own with the lawn mower so our yard looks trashy in comparison). It's supposed to get chilly tonight, we're eating veggie soup (Laura's yummy recipe), and I found a radio station that is playing Christmas music 24/7 until the big day. I'm breaking all of my no-Christmas-before-Thanksgiving rules this year and I love it! What am I thankful for today? SATURDAYS!
