Sick, Sick, Sick.

Yes, I normally do my weekend update on Mondays but this Monday has been a doozie and it's only 3pm. *Sigh* James is sick. AGAIN. Shocking, I know. He felt puny all weekend (not sleeping through the night, taking longer-than-normal naps, ASKING to go to bed, etc.). At swimming lessons today his teacher commented that she could tell he just didn't feel well. And another mother commented on how bad his chest sounds. So I called to speak to the nurse. Again. The nurse who knows us all by name. Ha! We went back in to have his ears re-checked and got more than we bargained for.

His ears are still very infected. And apparently it's a bit of a shock that the $450 antibiotic didn't knock it right out of him. (Thank the LORD for Will's birth this year...Insurance got that one for us!) In addition to those nasty ears, his nose is still runny (just more of the same allergy junk, apparently) AND he's wheezy. We left with an antibiotic for his ears, a steroid for his chest, a nebulizer machine for his asthma, and instructions to continue his other asthma medicine, his Zyrtec, and his nose spray. I've also been instructed to buy a hypoallergenic pillow, dust and vacuum every other day (the Lord is trying to teach me something about keeping my home clean, I am certain), and wash all his stuffed animals at least once a week. Those things aren't going to make it, y'all. We're supposed to throw away any stuffed animals that he's not completely attached to. I have never been a stuffed animal fan so this won't be a problem for me.

Y'all. I am so, so sick of him being sick! His nose has been runny since APRIL. APRIL!!! He screams when we come toward him with Kleenex or the nasal aspirator. He knows all of the doctors and nurses at the pediatrician's office. He doesn't even really notice that he feels bad because he's so used to it now. He was screaming today and I said, "What in the world is wrong?!" and he said, "I don't even know!" and burst into tears.

Please pray that we'll kick this in the butt really, really soon.

At least the nebulizer is cute!

Bless his little heart! He was letting Lance and me hold him like a baby on Friday, so I knew something was wrong with him and he was also asking to watch his movie a lot which I thought was weird! Poor thing!
