Weekend Update...

Another quick weekend! Whew! I wish time would slow itself down a little bit! (Also, no pictures unfortunately. Sorry!)

Friday night when Eddie got home from work we headed up to Outback for dinner. We hadn't eaten there in a while (because there is absolutely nothing "healthy" there to eat) and we had a gift card that we decided to put to good use. Long story short, James was horrible. I really considered never taking him out in public again. He wanted to stand up in his high chair, he threw things on the floor, he yelled "ME!" loudly whenever he wanted something, he wanted bread, he didn't want bread, he wanted to color, he didn't want to color, mostly he wanted to get down. Eddie finally took him outside toward the end of the meal because we were so embarrassed by his behavior. As we were getting up to leave I put him down (he'd been sitting in my lap while Eddie finished eating) and he darted off and I had to chase him. The man sitting next to us laughed awkwardly and said, "Looks like you've got your hands full with that one there!" *Insert extremely red face here.* I've said it before and I'll say it again, when Eddie was praying for twins God knew exactly what we should have. James was not meant to be a twin. Thank goodness. (In fact, he may be meant to be an only child! Days like that make me think he might be!)

After dinner we went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond (the boys stayed in the car - I just needed coffee) and then Target to get a few things. Then we headed home.

Saturday was mostly uneventful. We worked around the house - Eddie and James tidied up in the garage and I worked inside - and then I ran a few errands. I needed to go to Hobby Lobby for a few things and Old Navy. I wish that our Old Navy had everything that is online. I walked through and was totally unimpressed. They hardly had any dresses or tops! That's what I needed! For supper we had Mexican. Mmmm...I've found a new love there. Actually, Eddie found it and it is delicious. Rice, chicken, and shrimp. Yum, yum, yum. James behaved better on Saturday night than Friday. We didn't leave embarrassed. After supper we ran to Lowe's and returned the umbrella the boys got me for Mother's Day. I just wanted a different color. We wound up with a gray umbrella, a stand, two tomato plants, an okra plant, basil, and cilantro. Mmmm! We also got a curtain rod to hang up my kitchen curtains....finally! (I realize that these are the most mundane details...why do you even care?!? You don't!)

Sunday morning we went to church and Sunday School. A lady spoke about missions opportunities in the church and in our area and got the wheels turning in our heads. I'm sure we'll get pulled into one or two of these soon. Some of them sounded great! After church we went to the lake to visit with Grandmamma, Granddaddy, and Kelly for the afternoon. We had a great time but it was COLD outside. I borrowed a sweatshirt as soon as we got there and I left it on all day! Brrr! James, apparently oblivious to the temperature, spent the afternoon asking to go run through the sprinklers! What a nut! He was hilarious, though, and was laughing hysterically when the water hit him.

I need a few more weekends where we don't have a whole lot going on but it looks like the next four or so are busy, busy, busy for us. I think I need a trip to the beach SOON! :) Hope your weekends were great as well!
