Heavy- Hearted

Sometime before lunch yesterday, Eddie and I were sitting in the den when we heard sirens. A few minutes went by and we heard more sirens. We live right off of a highway that is pretty busy during the day, but when we continued to hear them we went outside in the rain to look. They entered our neighborhood and turned. There must've been at least 10 firetrucks and ambulances. Eddie came in the house and said he could see black smoke from a few streets over. Standing in our den and looking through our backyard you could see smoke billowing through the trees. It appeared to be about two streets over from us.

Today after lunch and grocery shopping, I convinced him to drive by. My heart just fell when we saw the house. There was no wondering which house it was. Fire has gutted the entire inside. My heart is so heavy for the family that lived there and everything that they must've lost. There was no one outside to ask what they needed and we have no idea who the family is or even if they were safe. Pray for them. That's all we can do right now. We may call our neighborhood president later to see if anything is being done for them. Please keep that family in your prayers.
