36 Weeks...

Where has the time gone? On my list this week is to pack my hospital bag. Seriously??? You mean I might wake up in the middle of the night one night and actually be in labor? Wow. I go back and forth between being really excited and ready and really nervous. What if I don't have everything I need? What if I forget something? What if I'm in labor for 57 hours? Ha!

I'm feeling more or less the same. My belly has grown even more and that makes moving and sleeping difficult. I slept FANTASTIC on Friday night because I was so worn out and then was so keyed up from Saturday's shower and hanging out with the Dinner Club folks that I didn't fall asleep until 3:30 Sunday morning - only to wake up at 6:30 and not be able to go back to sleep. My back is still hurting on and off. A new development this week is swelling in my feet and ankles. I didn't realize how uncomfortable it is, but swelling hurts! It makes my legs sore! Hopefully it won't get any worse. I'm drinking mostly water (although I did have more than one Coke on Saturday) and a LOT of it.

We got LOTS of goodies at the shower on Saturday! Leta brought my bedding and I've put it on. It looks really good. Everything fit perfectly. We got our carseat from the Freshes. Now we just have to figure out how to put it in. We may be going to the fire station this weekend for help with that! I got lots of little clothes and blankets. I've washed half and have another load to do in a bit. We got several toys. There are so many others that it would take me all day to list them out! Very blessed little boy!

Saturday afternoon I went to Jeanine's shower. Let me just tell you - smocked little girl dresses are precious. I think she must've gotten 100! That baby will never not have something to wear! Ha!

Saturday night we headed out to the Bargerons for Dinner Club. We had a GREAT time being with them. It may be our last get-together before The Boy is here. Some of them (all of them?) are planning to come up the weekend of October 12th but who knows whether I'll still be pregnant or not! That's such a strange thing to think about!

Once I have his room picked up and in better shape I'll post pictures. It really is turning out to be very cute!
